Hi,

This is probably a simple question, so forgive me if it is....

I am currently having problems processing a file that is sent down from our DOS (I know!!) system to the Unix box. It processes all rows except that last one, which for some reason, it does not read.

However, if we VI the file, then close it, it works fine. When we checked the hex output of the file before and after the VI process, it had added a hex code "0a" to the end of the file.

Is there any way that we can automate this process please?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

You could try-

dos2unix your_file_name new_file_name
