Add a 008 MLX Circuit Pack

Are these the correct steps to add a 008MLX module to a Magix 1.0.

1. Backup to the PCMIA card.
2. Maint\Busyout the slot.
3. add the card (system is stil running)
4. Board Renumber
5. Add phones

If there is nothing in the slot, you can not do step 2.

You will have to power down to put it in.

It should do the board renumber automatically.

Is there anything in that slot now?

I agree and if he claims to be "adding" a circuit pack then we can only assume that the next available slot is where the card will reside.

I would have to manually renumber the board only a few times in the past when adding a new card.

Power down.
Add card.
Power up in correct sequence.
Verify card is operable and not busy.
Build extension dial plan and labels.
Build VM Boxes.
Remaining programming.
Cross Connect.
Test.
