Does anyone know if the ADC is supposed to add the Exchange attributes to the Active Directory Users and Computers that runs on a Windows 2000 DC? Or does it only apply the attributes to the Active Directory Users and Computers that is installed on the Exchange 2003 server?

You will need to install the Exchange tools on any machine where you want to access/modify exchange information for domain accounts. If you install the exchange tools on your DC you will then see the tabs in AD users and computers to work with accounts.

I realize you can load the exchange tools onto a server other than the Exchange server, however, I was curious if the AD that was installed on the DC/GC would update its AD Users and Computers with all the Exchange attributes like the one thats installed on the Exchange Server 2003.

The attributes are applied in AD...the AD on the Exchange server is the same AD as on all of your other ADUC's in your domain. You have to install the Exchange tools in order to view/change these attributes. If you access ADUC from a DC that doesn't have the Exchange tools installed, you won't see the Exchange attributes.

Is it better to install the Exchange tools on all the domain controllers?

No reason to really. Manage it from the Exchange server or from your desktop.

Just remember that you need to install the same service packs on those machines that have the Exchange Management tools as what's on the Exchange server.
