ADC confusion

We have set up in our test area an exchange 5.5 server called "EX55" with 20 test mailboxes. We set up an Exchange 2003 server and added it to the same site as the 5.5 server.

Everything was working OK including replication between AD, 5.5 and 2003.

We deleted the standard user and public folder recipient connectors from the ADC and then deleted the OU in the AD that contained the disabled accounts that were replicated from the Exchange 5.5 server during setup as a test to see if we could re-populate the disabled users from the OU that we deleted them from in the AD.

We tried creating a one-way connector from Exchange to Windows, believing that this would then re-populate the OU. This did not work and when we re-created the connection as 2-way with the initial replication set FROM Exchange to windows, the disabled accounts were not re-created and the Exchange 5.5 mailboxes were deleted (not a problem because it is a test setup, but the reason we are doing this is to fix a problem in our live environment).

Can anybody shed some light on how we could re-populate the OU with the disabled accounts?

Any suggestions would be VERY appreciated.

After a little research, we have discovered that the ADC-GLOBAL-NAMES attribute has to be removed from the Exchange 5.5 object.
