Adbove Acrobat 7.0 - Multiple file order

We regularly use the Multiple file option to convert over 100 files into 1 PDF document.
Our source files are typicall number :-
1.txt
2.txt
3.txt
.
.
10.txt

In version 6 of Adobe it would show the selected files in the same order as you selected them. i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 etc.
However in v7 it shows you in the correct order when you select all of them but when you select ok and then get the list of selected files it re-orders them like 1,10,11,2,20,21 etc.

I appreciate you can manually re-order them but if you have upwards of 100 documents this is very time consuming !
I know you could save them as 001, 002 etc but we have a large number of existing documents and it looks more like a bug to me.

Any suggestions ?
