Hello everyone,
I'm planning to take my A+ core in three weeks and I called the testing site here where in my home town and the person I spoke to said that i can have my choice of either the adaptive or the traditional exam. My question is, for an average guy like me, which one should I take? It has been a while since I taken a test. Any advise?
Thank you again.

Purely a matter of personal preference...

Myself, I always thought that adaptive was a cheat of my testing experience. I always feel like I'm not getting my money's worth with the abreviated exam format. I prefer the traditional exam because that's the way I study and that'ts the way I like to be quizzed. The traditional format seems to validate my learning better than adaptive. I learned all this stuff so test me on all this stuff.

but that's just my opinion...

Thank you glister.
I guess i'ts the pre exam jitters.

I think the adaptive process has less room for errors. If you start off on the wrong foot then it can be harder to come back. A full length exam you'll have more room for errors. However, if you know your stuff, you'll be out of the exam in no time if you do an adaptive exam. If you're confident in your knowledge, but are a bit jittery of the whole exam process, I'd go for the adaptive. But I also agree with glister, in that you can sometimes feel like you haven't been tested with the adaptive format. It's over before you've even started sometimes (if you're lucky, that is)

Anyhow, good luck!!
