I have a handme down HP omni pad designed for win95.
IT WAS FULL OF JUNK! I reformatted and installed dos 6.2 but now the cdrom is not recognized because it is an external sony cdrom with a scsi adaptec card in the side scsi ports.

so I tried various threads and they do not seem to help me out with this problem.

I know its old but I would love to use this as a learning tool for the kids.

Help me please.
Thank You,
Chad Miller

To boot one of these from a floppy, you need to get the appropriate ASPI drivers; one for the card and one for the CD-ROM. These need to be loaded via your config.sys, and mscdex needs to be loaded via autoexec.bat, referencing this drive.

All drivers can be found on Adaptec's site, or , more quickly, via
