I have an Adaptec 2405 raid controller. I have this model in other machines with no problem. But the last one is giving me troubles.
I want to add to arrays Crucial SSD MX500 units and WD 4002FYYZ HDD units. Those are not allowed. Other older HDD yes.
I nedd to update the firmware but can't find the way.
The Afu utility works only under msdos (not windows) and I can't generate a valid bootable ms-dos cr-rom. (There is no floppy unit
Microsemi suport told me that it can be done with every OS. I tried with debian + gnome. But I get errors trying tyo install aacraid-1.1.7-28700-debian6.0-all.deb
Can anybody help me for updating firmware ?
