Please help. For some odd reason, after rebuilding an application on my 2003 server that uses ADAM for database replication, the CN=Servers name is not that of the computer's host name as it should be.

Can I just rename it without it causing corruption?

ADAM ADSI edit> My Connection> CN=Configuration> CN=Sites> CN=Default> CN=Servers> CN= "the wrong host name"

I can right click and it give me the option to rename, but just want to know if there is side effects.

The object is the computer itself.....2003 server.

I have 2 that needs to be set up to replicate ADAM, however when we re-built the Primary server, the ADAM instance name got changed somehow and I need it to be the server's computer name.

Can it be renamed without corrupting the database?
