AD8 backup

I cannot get any backup procedures to work, but I remember being told that I could back up the system by downloading/copying the AV files from the AD8. Can somebody refresh me on which files/file exts I need ... I know I don't need all of them and I don't really care about backing up messages.

I believe it's the Avent.avd File.
