AD Restore mode password 3

Hi all,

I have read up the procedure for resetting the AD Restore Mode password for a domain controller in windows 2000/2003.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows what effect (if any) changing this password has on your systems (other then the obvious). Does resetting this password cause any ill effects ?

I was asked the question so I had to ask.

Also, One of the questions was whether changing this local Admin/ADRestore password on the server would affect any of the the local system accounts...

I did read something regarding Small Business Server in reagards to this as well (we are not running Small Business Server however).

It only affects the restore mode, nothing else.
