We have a lot of Sales people who work out of their homes. Their laptops are not part of our domain since they never come to the office. They use a VPN to connect to the company network, however they never know when their passwords expire and it is a nightmare.

I would like to set up something that would allow them to change their passwords, unlock their accounts, and receive an email notification when their passwords will expire.

I know there are several products out there, but was looking for some recommendations.

Thanks,
Scott

You also may want to consider implementing DirectAccess. This would give the users an "always-on VPN", with domain access, and they would be able work exactly as if they were in the office from any location that gives them connectivity without having to go through a logon/VPN startup process. It's a great solution if your infrastructure will support it.

Thank you for the responses. We are currently using a Hosted Exchange Server. I'm going to check out the password reminder solution but if it has to run on the Exchange server, then I would be out of luck.

Direct Access is a great idea and I might end of going in that direction. Right now, we use a Watchguard Firebox for people to VPN into the network.

I also found some webparts that work with Sharepoint that will send out email notifications and allow users to change and reset their own passwords.

Thanks,
Scott
