I have a user that was originally created with their password set to expire in 180 days (group policy). Later this user was changed to "Password Never Expires". This user is now reporting that they are getting the message "Your Password Will Expire in X Days" at logon.

Is this normal? How do I stop the msg?

Any information along these lines will be appreciated.

That happened to me once. I just had them ctrl+alt+del and change their password to the existing one. Wont work if you have specific password policies set.

Sounds to me like you may have a larger issue and this is just a symptom.

Verify each DC and see that they each list the password never expires box as being set. I'm guessing you will find you are having replication issues with AD. Check your AD Event Logs for errors.

The observed behavior is not normal.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
