Hey all,

I've got an issue with my 2K server box.

We recently were hit with Nimda and I also recently upgraded it to SP2 and all of the other available patches and fixes.

Now, when I try to modify any permissions in Active Directory, I get the error:

"Object Picker Cannot open because no locations from which to choose objects could be found"

At the same time I get "Active Directory: Active Directory" error.

The weirdest part is that on my 2K Pro system as administrator, I can see the objects and set permissions, but I can't change a user's settings if I'm not on the server.

Any thoughts?

Check out these KB articles Q263231 or more likely Q284914

Suggests that the remote registry service is not running on your server. Sounds like your problem.

Hope this helps

Cheers
