Hi all,
I'm putting a proposal together for a client who wants to be able to record conversations on just two of the phone extensions. The system will have a DSP card and UM with the two ports included. Do i need to add the 2 way record licence and will this give additional UM ports? Should I be looking at adding more UM ports, say up to 6 x ports? The user want to record calls at the push of a button. I know the recorded calls are stored in the user's mailbox but then how can they export them from the system? Could the voicemail to email feature be used?
Regards
Mark

You will need two way recording licensing but it doesn’t add um channels

You get two um channels so if it will be busy, you would be better off with more

Email should work if you change recorded message as new instead of old in class of service on voicemail

You could backup recording to nas box and there is software to play those backup messages on the Panasonic site

Hi OBT,
Would I need licence KX-NSU003W - UM Enabled Backup scheduling to back up the recordings to a NAS? It all seems very pricy for what appears to be an awkward solution. It was all going so well until they decided they wanted call recording!!
Regards
Mark

You have not said what phones they are using but a much better and cheaper solution would be to use a usbcallrecord.com
