We are running a Win2K network with XP clients.

l want to be able to delete the local copy of a user's profile, when they log off. But also to keep a roaming profile on there user account.

So its easer for me to do my regular clean up of all machines.

l found these settings in AD:

Synchronize all offline files before logging off

At Logoff delete local copy of user's offline files

In Group Policy Editor: Computer > Admin Templates > Network >Offline files.

l was wondering if l needed to alter anything in the user part of GP editor.

Thanks in Advance !

You shouldn't do, as these settings are what the computer does on a logoff, other wise, if this was a User policy, any time a user logged on to these machines that was outside of the OUs assigned, the clean up would not be done, for example, if you as an Admin loged on to one of your targeted client machines, and there were User Profiles for this action, your profile would reside on the local machine.

You have found the correct settings already!

Hope this helps
