I have a Windows 2003 Server running Active Directory.
When I add a AD-user to a sites member group, everything works fine and the user can view their membership from My Links --> My SharePoint Sites.
But when I add a AD-group, they can access the site offcourse, but the "My SharePoint Sites"-menu is empty. Why is that?

Not sure if this is relevant. But if the user "log in" to the appropriate site, does it show up then? I know that in SPS203 (and WSS V2) when adding an AD-group the user became "visible" to others only when the user had accessed the site.

Any solution that you find, please post it here, we will also use a lot of AD groups for our new environment so would be nice to know what caused the issue and how it was solved.

Cheers,
Thomas

I would look under:

Edit Site Group Permissions.
6. In the Rights area of the Change Site Group Rights page, the Create Personal Site - Create a personal SharePoint site check box, and then click OK.

This article shows how you turn them off the inverse should turn it on:
