Hello,
I have a small network of PCs and Macs. These machines connect to a Linux server running Samba for file sharing. I am going to put an MS Exchange 2000 server on the network.
I would like for security to be as centralized as possible in a new environment. Currently, all the machines authenticate on their own and file sharing is wide-open behind the firewall.
Given my environment, my upcoming Exchange 2000 installation what would you recommend as a strategy for obtaining centralized security? Samba can mimic an NT 4 DC, but will exchange 2000 work with that? I think Exchange 2000 requires AD?
Thanks!
