I have 2 empty root dc's and 2 domain dc's.
The root dc's are foo.com
The domain dc's are bob.foo.com
On the root dc's, I have added a new dns delegation to bob.foo.com and within that, added 2 name servers to resolve for bob.foo.com -> ns1.bob.foo.com and ns2.bob.foo.com, in that order.
The problem was that the ns1.bob.foo.com crashed and the root dc's werent' delegating the requests to ns2.bob.foo.com. It's like they couldn't talk with ns1.bob.foo.com and then just stopped going any further. Does anyone know of a patch to allow the traversing of name server for delegated domains with win2k AD DNS?
