Acucorp 5.2.1 slow with Novell clients

Accounting application (was LAN only 15 users) switched from DOS to Windows runtime prior to going terminal server over a WAN to add 10 more users.

Performance at the workstation dropped to the point where the program spash screen on startup took up to 28 seconds to appear on some P III 800 Mhz Gateway workstations. Move back from Novell to Microsoft clients improved performance but I can't use IP - must be IPX. Not all machines behaved the same way so I'm looking for some other issue - drivers on Gateway for video etc.

Novell 3.1.0.0 client was fine before and after on one of the workstations.

Looking for insight.
