I have a 6x16 5.1 DS with a Flash 1.9 4 port station tied to system. We are trying to attach a Norstar ACU. The port we are trying to use works fine with a 7210 headset. It is set to Pool A, no external digit requried for an external line, full handsfree, full handsfree answerback.
The unit powers up fine. The lights flash, it initializes and beeks ok. When I hit the off hook key, the phone works fine only on internal DN's. Whe I try any feature codes I get the two tone ding-dong. The only numbers I can press immediately after the off hook switch with out geting the ding-dong are 3, 4, 5 & 6. When I press 9 (thinking that the memory might have stored an outside line, the entire ACU goes dead.
I have 2 of these ACU units. One is vintage 1998 and the other is 2001. Both of these units work fine on another CICS 8x32 system that I have. The only thing that is strange, is that I have to press 9 to get an outside line on the CICS system, even though there is no code programmed in the software for an external line.
I also did a reset of the programming of the entire system and reset the system with the square template to no avail.
Help if you can. I am pulling out the few hairs I have left.
Thanks,
Stu
