Actuate 8.0.5 - Date and Time Calculations

Hello All

Hope someone can help. I am trying to calculate the difference between two fields which are in the format
dd-mm-yyyy hh-mm-ss in an Actuate Report and can't get it to work.

I even tried splitting the field up into date and time using to-char in my SQL then the DateDiff function in actuate, but it seems to only work out total number of days, months, hours, minutes etc....

I dont mind the solution being either SQL based or some how in Actuate, its driving me mad!
