When trying to install Actuate 7 onto a machine immediatly after you have selected which install language to use the application reports that the installation was completed sucessfully. However there is only one file placed into the applications directory and nothing else anywhere (including the registry). This is happening on both the machines we want to install the product.
The logged in user is a domain administrator and also has local administration rights to the machine.

Any ideas as i'm stumped!!

Did you ever find out how to make this work? I am having the same issue.

It appeared in my case that when the user doesn't have local admin rights to the machine this would happen. When i used the administrator account or any user with local admin rights it seemed to install happily.
