Actuate 10 - undesirable multiple SQL SP calls when using parameters

Morning all,

Here's the setup:
Actuate 10
SQL datasource, using stored procs
Reports have cascading parameters and "stand alone" parameters

We have noticed that when you first open the report, the parameter procs are called once but when you open up the parameters window after a report has been generated, Actuate calls the stored procs that populate the parameters 4-5 times.

Does anyone know a reason for this, there is a concern this could impair performance.
