Activity Tracking for Canadian Payroll

We are looking for a report that will show all the changes each pay period such as new hires, wage increases, etc.

I see there is a product for US Payroll that requires running a SQL script in Query Analyzer.

If there isn't one available in GP (9.0) I would prefer to write my own or use one that is out there somewhere?

Any ideas?
