ActiveX Windows Server 2000

I have a problem with an activeX which works perfectly fine with any windows applications, but with a web application, it doesn't work! :-( I am using Windows Server 2000. I have another machine with Windows Professional 2000 and the ActiveX works fine with but web and windows apps. Supposedly the activeX works with all types of 2000. It is installed correctly etc.

Is there any difference between windows professional and server that I am overlooking?

Any help would be most appreciated, as I am at the end of my tether

When you say "doesn't work", what does this mean.
What error message do you get? Does it just lock up?
What does it do when it doesn't work?
