ActiveX upgrade corrupted

I downloaded Activex upgrade 8x and now my sound, especially over the internet stutters and rebuffers endlessly. I ran diagnosis on Activex and it say my ActiveX is not working right. Also, in a effort to solve the porblem, I reinstalled the sound card drivers whichleft me with extra copies in the register.

1. Do I need to uninstall ActiveX to redownload.
2. Will Regclean remove the extra sound card Drivers?
