Help!!!! In certain programs I am running, I'm getting the error message "ActiveX component can't create object". Does this mean that ActiveX has been removed from my PC?

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

It usually means that your program cannot find the dll or ocx that it needs to create an Active X object. Most of the time it has been removed or not installed on a machine. Thanks and Good Luck!

I frequently have that error in a piece of software I support. Usually, it's a matter of tracking down the right DLL or OCX, then using regsvr32 to make sure it's registered properly.

Does anyone know why this stuff happens in the first place -- how can a piece of software run fine in the morning, then in the afternoon develop a nasty case of Active X Component Errors?

Cheers for any comments or suggestions anyone may have.
