activex error with cdo

i have an htm form that sends an email of what the user types in the respective fields on the page. it works fine on my machine, but when someone else tried to use the htm page, they can an active x error about createobject(cdo.message).


anyone know how i can fix this? is it a setting in ie???

Probably they don't have CDO on their machine (its only on Win2k+, after a particular SP). Plus, I'd guess that CDO "isn't safe for scripting" because using it could cause machines visiting rouge web pages to start sending spam...

the machine is server 2003. smtp service is not installed, don't know if it needs to be. i am totally lost over here.
