Whats the difference between an OLE Control and an OLE BoundControl. And How can I use an OLE Control on a report.

On a form (not a report), an oleControl (ActiveX control) is used to host, or be a container for, an ActiveX (e.g. OCX) control, such as the MSCalendar. Reports do not allow oleControls ("unbound" controls).

On both forms and reports, the oleBoundControl is used to display an image or a representation of a document (such as a Word document or Excel spreadsheet) for which there is an OLE provider.

To use the oleBoundControl on a report (say, for an image), drop it on the report at the appropriate place, then set the File or Field property to the appropriate value when the dialog automatically appears. The source can either be a file or the contents of a General field.

Robert Bradley

<a href= - Visual FoxPro Development
