ActiveX Control Woes

Ok - so I'm really, really new to this and I was wondering exactly how I play a sound (mp3) in one of my applications.

Not wanting to D/L the DirectX SDK, I thought of a Media Player COM object.

So my next question is how the heck do I get it to play nice. I've inserted the control into my form (feeling like I'm cheating with the Drag and Drop interface) and I need to load and play the file.

Can someone post me a code snippet?
