I am trying to build a distribution for an application. I am using a control I purchased. The control works fine, no problems. The problem I have is when I go to check it in the ActiveX controls to distribute list it is not there even after refreshing the list. I have uninstalled the control and reinstalled without effect. I am working in VFP 6. Has anyone seen this problem before and know how to fix it?

Hi NullOp,

It sounds like the control is not registered on your development machine (just because the control is installed, that doesn't mean it's registered).

If so, and if the app is running OK on your development system, the chances are you don't need the control to be registered on the user's system either. In that case, just add the control's OCX file to your setup, just like any other file.

If it turns out that the control does need to be registered on your user's system, then, to get it to show up in the Setup Wizard (I assume that's what you are using), you will need to use REGSVR32.EXE to register it on your machine first.

If you need help running REGSVR32.EXE, come back.
