I am building a corporate Intranet. The home page of the Intranet serves as a portal to many MS Access database application that reside on users' computers (c drive). I try to use the link on the web page to call a macro in the Access database. Should I create an ActiveX control to achieve this, or there is a better way to do it? If ActiveX control is the right direction, where can I find some sampel code. I know visual basic, but I never did programming for ActiveX control.

Thanks in advance.

server.createobject or getobject

bytehd,

Thanks for your response.

But I do not think server.createobject or server.getobject will work since both of them use programs on the web server to generate something in the web page. What I need is to create something that can be called by a web link, like the common dialog control (file explorer).
