I have a VB ActiveX dll that I'm calling from an ASP page.

I'm using IE 5.5

The component will not run if called from my PC at home or at the office, but the same component will run from the same ASP page on the same server if ran on my supervisor's machine?

I can call the registered dll from a new VB project on my machine, so it isn't a registry problem.

I'm totally stumped, and frazzled!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as I'm working under a dead-line.

Is there maybe an IE setting that I need to change?

TIA

I had the same problem with the date/time picker ActiveX control.
Look at using the " LPK " tool. You can find it on Microsoft. It is a licensing tool that 'packages and licenses' the activeX controls. It is easy to use and solved my problems.
Also, make sure you look at the security settings (activeX enabled) in Internet Explorer.
Hope this helps.

Thanks... After about 8 hours of doing all kinds of tests, I finally found it. It was the security settings with IE, but it is well hidden. I mean, who would have thoughy moving a slider bar from medium to low would have been where all this security resided.

Thanks again for your help.
