I have an active X calander control I have plopped onto my access form. What is the proper way to access the properties of the control in VBA code? NOTE: I am new to access/vba....but am a programmer. I just don't see the properties come up in intellisense.

Thx.

Have a look in the FAQ'S section of the site, also do a calendar search on this site. There should be lots of help there.

ActiveX controls are kind of funny in this way! If you select one and go to the Properties Sheet it will only show a couple of the Properties that are actually available. As a general rule, you only need the OnClick event, or the AfterUpdate event to do what needs to be done.

Code:
Private Sub YourCalendarName_Click()
  YourTextBoxName.Value = YourCalendarName.Value 'assigns value of calendar to textbox
  End Sub

How are ya plummer66 . . .

There are two ways:
[ol][li]Thru the [blue]properties window[/blue] while in form design view. For an ActiveX control, the [blue]Other[/blue] tab of the properties window usually holds [blue]properties specific to the control[/blue]. One control in particular on the [blue]Other[/blue] tab is the [blue]Custom[/blue] property. If you select the property then click the three elipses on the right, you'll get a [blue]setup dialog[/blue] for the control. Note: this doesn't work for all ActiveX controls, however it does work for the calendar.[/li]
[li]Thru the code window using [blue]Auto List Members[/blue]. To enable [blue]Auto List Members[/blue] select [blue]Tools - Options[/blue]. On the [blue]Editor[/blue] tab, be sure to check [blue]Auto List Members[/blue], then click OK.

Now whenever you type a [blue]controlName with a period[/blue] (indicating you want to type a property name), a list of all the associated properties will popup for selection. Example:
Code:
[blue]   Me![purple][B][I]ActiveXControlName[/I][/B][/purple][red][b].[/b][/red][/blue]
[/li][/ol]
