Bit of a weird one this.

We're running SBS2003 (so Exchange 2003 also) and last week had a nightmare. Server died, RAID died all hell broke loose. The server is up and running again after a rebuild from backup tapes. The one thing that isn't working correctly though is ActiveSync. We have users with iPhones and although the connection is established (no errors when downloading etc) no email is viewable. Even weirder is that you can send email from the iPhones. The sent message doesn’t appear in the sent items on the phone but the recipient will receive it. This isn’t isolated to iPhones as we have a Nokia using Mail for Exchange which does the same. OWA works fine and if you set up a blackberry using BIS that works no problem. I’ve run tests from (good site for general config troubleshooting if anyone hasn’t ever used it) but the connectivity tests come back fine. As I test I also reran the CEICW and disabled Mobile access and then enabled it again but no joy.

Anyone have a clue? It’s possible I’m going to contact MS on this one as I can’t find any similar issues on the web about it but thought I’d give the forum a try first.

NB: if this needs bumping to the SBS section fair enough but I figured it’s more an Exchange thing.

Thanks

I sorted this in the end. Seems Sophos PureMessage was the culprit. Uninstalled and Activesync came to life.
