Greetings,

Please help - I have an exchange 2003 server with approximately #130 users. I have recently brought up a new exchange 2010 server and trying to migrate users slowly over the course of 2 months. Everyhthing so far works great but the activesync functionality from 2010 to 2003 doesn't work. I'm unable to Proxy ActiveSync request from Exchange 2010 Server (servername) for Exchange 2003 Mailbox and Getting HTTP 401 Error. After talking with Microsoft I was told this functionallity is not supported (exch 2010) by design and would need a 2003 frond-end server.
Can I turn my existing 2003 exchange server to a front-server or do I need a new one?

Thanks,

Theo

2 months to move 130 users? That's generally a lunch time task for me.

I'd just move those EAS enabled users to 2010.
