Does anyone know of a way to determine if a Windows 95 pc has been loaded with ActiveX. I'm mainly trying to see if there is a registry setting or directory or file that can be searched for.

With IE open go to tools/internet options. With the General Tab Under Temporary internet files click Settings/View objects to see what active X controls you are using.
