I am using Crystal Reports 7.0. I have a client who gets the red "X", when she tries to access any reports. I went to and looked at "Crystal_Web_Viewer_for_Actx.pdf". This file tells you to delete any Active X viewers already on the PC, but this user does not already have the Active X viewer on her machine. I was wondering if there was a way to just download the smart viewer from a site and install it on the PC manually. Thanks for any assistance.

Did you go to Tools / Internet Options / Settings / View Objects and delete it from there?

Thanks for the assistance. The user did not have the report viewer listed in the object folder and the security settings are configured to receive ActiveX. I do not know what the problem is.

Perhaps they don't have rights to remove the Active-X component installed, I've seen systems that don't show the control in there, yet they are.

Unfortunately I can't recall how I resolved it...
