MY
I used javascript's File System Object to save text documents into the computer's hard drive.

Everything worked fine, except that i keep getting the "An ActiveX control on this page might be unsafe to interact with other parts of the page. Do you want to allow this interaction?" security message.

I know that it is an important and useful component for IE users, but my client would rather not have it.

how can i work around this?

someone told me that there is no license for File System Object, is that true?

HELP!!!!!!![sadeyes]

There is definately no license needed to run the FSO control.

To turn off the prompting, you would have to check the security settings (in IE) for the zone you want (intranet, internet, local, etc), and disable prompting for ActiveX controls.

Be warned, however, that doing so will increase the risk of allowing other, potentially dangerous, ActiveX controls to run.

Hope this helps,
Dan

If people could do that at run time then there would be no point to the setting. Im afraid your out of luck there!

If it aint broke, redesign it!
