Hi All

Microsoft are releasing a significant Security Patch in October that is very likely to affect Active X controls, and I'm just wondering if this could affect NICE in any way? All I know is that I have to enable Active X on user's browsers, but I don't know where it is used in NICE

".....the minimum RSA key length for certificates used in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) will increase to 1024 bits......once the patch is applied Internet Explorer will block access to SSL websites that use certificates with keys less than 1024 bits long"

Will this affect NICE operating, or users ability to access it? How can I find out what length PKI NICE access uses?

Thanks Guys

hi,

NICE test microsoft patches on their products and certify if tested ok and send this to business partners on a bi-monthly basis or if a critical update has been released . If you have then Microsoft KB reference perhaps pass to your NICE local team and ask them to verify if it can be tested against your environment email support@nice.com.

As it affects certificates then only HTTPS environments would be affected and customer would have a lot of control over as certificate woukld already be applied and IE will only look for certificate expiry and if its signed.

If your overly concerned apply to a standalone machine and test connection to NICE platform and if issues arise hold off on applying update until NICE certify.
