I have created an Active X Control for use in my applications. When I make modifications to the control, re-compiling over the existing control files and return to my Visual Basic project, the form holding instances of my control give me errors. I then have to proceed 1. to delete each control, b/c they are each now another type, 2. re-check my control .ocx file, and 3. recreate each instance of the newly changed .ocx for my program to work again.

I just want to update my *.ocx files, update them, and have my program recognize the changes w/o giving me errors. Can someone help out w/this?

Thanks,
CJ

Hi CJ

In Your Componant Tab (Project Properties)
ther are three options for Version Compatibility.
It sounds that your option is set to 'No Compatibility'
Change this to 'Binary Compatibility'
