Can anybody out there that can help me?
I have a VB6 project that incorporates Crystal reports, using the Active-X control. To limit the number of dll's that Crystal would love to include in the packaging stage, I have only included the following:
ccsdk.dll, crpaig32.dll, crpe32.dll, crxlat32.dll, ctl3d32.dll, implode.dll, mfcans32.dll, (VB includes msvcrt40.dll - so I have excluded msvcrt20.dll), olepro32.dll, p2bbnd.dll, p2bdao.dll, u2ddisk.dll, u2dmapi.dll, u2dpost.dll, u2ftext.dll, usfwks.dll, u2fwordw.dll, u2fxls.dll
Now, this seems to work fine when I install the project (on a clean machine) except at the end of the installation a message box pops up telling me that the crystl32.ocx(which is included) failed to register - abort, retry, ignore? I choose Ignore and the installations completes successfully. When I run the project the reports run perfectly!
Am I missing something? Are there missing dll's? This Crystal product is an older version: Smithware Cr Reps for Betrieve, version: prod: 6,0,1,135; CRW32 6,0,1,135.
