I am using access 2003. I would like to have the active x control calendar 11.0 run when a command button is pressed. How do I do this.

Can you please expand your question? What you need to do when you press the command button

Okay. You bring up the form and the calendar is visible you click on the date and it places it in the date started field. Cool. However, I want the user to control the appearance of the calendar I don't want it to appear unless I click on the command button and after updating I would like it to disappear.

I would never use an active x calendar control. Consider an Access form or get the excellent calendar from Stephen Lebans' site

This is really the wrong forum for this discussion. You're likely to get more info if you post in the Access Forms or Access Modules (VBA Coding) or ActiveX forums. Having said that, however, take a look at the MS DateTimePicker control. Does exactly what you describe.

dhookom makes a good point. Many developers steadfastly refuse to use ActiveX controls. They can be far more trouble than they are worth, and similar functionality is usually attainable with some VBA code.

Thanks everyone. I guess I have a couple of ways I can do this and will try all to see what works best for our environment. What a great place to come for help.
