Hi,
i'm searching an activex for open autocad dwg files and link this files with a data base ACCESS.( link graphics - data)
like GIS application. I need to put this acvitve x
in a VBA application or ACCESS application that manage query
and report and localice graphics objets linkes to database.

there is an OCX that comes with autocad 14 and 2000.
there are some subtle diff between the two but you do have access to many of the properties.

can you kindly teach me how to use the active X to connect to the AutoCAD.

I use Autocad whip Active-X control. It is installed with Acad 2000, and you can view dwf (drawing web files) with it.

If you do not have Autocad you can download the Whip component at:

I used it with Delphi, and the code in VB should be similar.

I want Auotcad Object Library (DLL).
from where can I download that?....please help me...I am working on microsoft plateform and Oracle as back end...
 
If you want to open AutoCAD drawings without using AutoCAD, you could take a look at OpenDWG (
This is available as C libraries, and also as on OCX.

You will need to join OpenDWG (it is free to join) if you want to get the libraries.
