Hi Gang,

I installed a POS system for a gift shop here in town using the Quickbooks POS 4.0 Hardware Bundle. The new Dell Computers don't come with PS/2 anymore and all the hardware is on PS/2. I got everything converted, but I am having an issue with the card reader. I talked to Intuit and they said I need an active usb to ps/2 converter. Anyone have any idea where I can get one or what I am looking for? Here is one I found at usbgear.com Any help would be appreciated.

Do a Google search - there are many sites that have them. Go to the different sites and check on the shipping charges. A site may have a $1.00 cheaper price, but $5.00 more on shipping! The price seems about the same on all the sites.

How do I tell it is an active one though? I dont want to waste my money ordering one that might not work.

The sites I checked showed around $5.00 for adapters and $14.00 to $15.00 for active. Also the active ones stated "active".

Sounds good. I will go get one. Think that one from USBGEAR.com will work?

-Chris

They are a well known site, should be OK. I'd check on "return" policy in case it doesn't solve the problem.
