Hello,

I'm constantly encountering troubles using PPM with my Windows 95
installation of ActivePerl. Every time when I try to install a new
perl module from a PPD file I get the message "Error installing package
[Package, i.e. DBI.ppd]: Could not locate a PPM binary of [Package] for
this platform. I have tried PPM installations with many modules and
packages but none succeeded.

What's going wrong or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot in advance for any useful hint.

Upgrade your OS. Thats pretty much what the error message is saying. I guess some modules require a higher OS to run.

Or, try upgrading your version of PPM (download the latest version of ActivePerl).

Hope this helps.
