Active Driectory Policies not applied on NT4 workstations.

Is there no possibility to use Group policies from Active Directory onto NT4 workstations? With the NTCONFIG.POL I can not configure the Proxy settings for Internet explorer.
Is there maybe another way to change the internet explorer LAN settings to use a proxy server on NT4 workstations? I need to enable the "Automaticly detect settings".

nope group policies only apply to win2000 and up
