The idea is to not have a seperate database that manages user access levels. I heard that with Active Directory you can declare objects (in my case an html or asp page) and set the restrictions with Schema or what not.
What I'm wondering here is how (if possible) to set up a few things. Such as, would there be a logon script needed? or would Windows automatically ask the user for authentication upon attempting access of a restricted file. Keeping in mind that this will not be a networked office but access across the web, not necessarily over a windows box.
Any expert advice is kindly welcomed.
Again I'm looking to integrate an existing user base, managed thru Active Directory and serve web pages based on authentication thru adsi.
Thank you,
Martin Asher
