Active Directory Sites: Client not getting correct domain controller

Hey All,
We recently started using Active Directory Sites & Services to associate different subnets to different sites so that the local domain controller at each site would respond to the clients in the subnet assigned to that site.

Everything worked well except for one subnet. Systems in that subnet still don't authenticate to the right domain controller.

1. The systems in the "problem " subnet are on a different subnet than the domain controller assigned to them. (the clients are in one subnet and the server is in another).

2. We did create a subnet for these clients, and assigned it to a site and a Domain Conroller.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Andrew

You can have multiple subnets assigned to a site. Assign subnet objects for both the client workstations and the server to the same site.

Also... If the server doesn't respond to ping in less than 100ms, the client will search for another server that does and authenticate to it. Make sure that the DC is responding in an appropriate amount of time.
